Men in 2024

Men’s groups have a long history that dates back to early human societies. In tribal communities, men would gather in groups to discuss community decisions, hold ceremonies, and pass down wisdom through stories. Strangely today we face more varied issues that ever before.

1. lower rates of mental health treatment

2. higher rates of suicide

3. shorter life expectancy than women (the gap is widening)

4. feelings of shame and stigma (thanks toxic masculinity movement)

5. lack of positive role models
